Hi All

U have a server Dell power Edege 2450, 512 KB memory, 18 Hard Disk and 800
MHZ of velocity.

I am working transparet proxy using WCCP between the server and the router
cisco 3640, but my server after of 1 hour down the performance, with the
command top of linux I can see the follwing:

1:32pm up 4:15, 2 users, load average: 0.06, 0.85, 1.35
44 processes: 42 sleeping, 2 running, 0 zombie, 0 stopped
CPU states: 0.0% user, 97.9% system, 0.0% nice, 98.0% idle
Mem: 512932K av, 507324K used, 5608K free, 192K shrd, 39372K
buff
Swap: 1052248K av, 0K used, 1052248K free 138568K
cached

Why my server is very slow?, Do I need to put more memory to my server or I
need to change this server?

How can I to calculate the capacity of my server for work with squid and
trasparent proxy?

My log squid say:

Total Access: 106781
Average Access: 4449.2 per hour
Total Cache Hits: 29316
Average Cache Hits: 1221.5 per hour
% Cache Hits: 27.45 %
Total Cache IMS Hits: 17383
Average Cache IMS Hits: 724.29 per hour
Total Cache Misses: 77465
Average Cache Misses: 3227.7 per hour
% Cache Misses: 72.54 %

Please, I need your help.

Thanks in Advanced,

Regards,
