[squid-users] how can i install in best manner?

Hi ;
 I want to install newest version in FreeBsd4.4 .
 i want to know how do i create partitions & system files in my
OS for increase squid performance in a hard with 36Gig
capacity & 256 meg RAM ,515swap.
 Please let me know how should i suppose cache_mem also &
cache_dir for best performance.
