The annoying thing about these messages are they provide totally
misleading advice for anyone who is not dialling in to their own ISP
and in some cases get the diagnosis totally wrong (DNS failures are
the most spectacular example of this - it just says the server is
unavailable, try again later, which will never work if the URL is
