[squid-users] Optimization ....

I got a question. When I first start up my squid, I get great performance. The TCP_MEM_HIT is running at 199 KB/sec, but after a days worth of running and as the memory usage starts to build up the perfomance of TCP_MEM_HIT decreases down to about 79 KB/sec. I have ruffly 5000 requests an hour (take or add a thousand or more), and my CACHE_MEM is set at 120 MB. I'm currently using DISKD as my cache file system, and I'm wondering what I could do to keep the performance SQUID carries on a fresh start up. Thanks
