Hi,
one more question about NTLM authentication. The authenticator obviuously needs on the one hand the DC fqdn for establishing the connection, and on the other hand it needs just the hostname (without domain) for the the NTLM authentication. It works fine, when the regarding domain is in the /etc/resolv.conf (search directive), but it won't work if it isn't. Because we have a lot of different domains, I don't want to have all these domains listed as search directive in the /etc/resolv.conf. It slows down the local DNS.
It seems to me, that the authenticator assumes the DC in the same domain as the squid, isn't it? Is there a better way than the above mentioned method (/etc/resolv.conf)? Do we have to patch the authenticator?
Thank you fro help in advance!

Mike
