Did as you suggested and managed to get it working. Also added following
as on my old install. Not certain which were required but fw divert :

Ok, two things. First, you need to configure this as a transparent
proxy. Second, always strip the commented lines out of the squid.conf
when sending to the list. There's no need to send 70k to the list, when
1k will do :-). For help on the transparent proxy and wccp, [re]read
the FAQ, it's all in there.
