George,

It is probably safest to completely ignore anyone who calls themselves
'Blaqhacka' and refers you to 'warez.com'. It is a very good bet the
person is a subliterate cracker (I'm not sure what he is doing on a
mailing list for open source software, though, as Open Source folks in
general have no tolerence for idiots or for cracking).

You can always get the latest version of Squid 2.6 HEAD from the
SourceForge CVS server. You'll need to learn your way around CVS,
before being able to really work with the latest Squid stuff. To grab
it I believe you'd do something like this:

cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.squid.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/squid login

Hit <Enter> when prompted for a password.

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.squid.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/squid co
 squid

(All on one line.)

I think that grabs HEAD, if no branch is specified. You can get
specific branches using the -r option (and put them into a specific
directory using the -d option). For example:

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.squid.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/squid co
-r cpuProfiling -d squid-profile squid

This one gets Andres' profiling version of Squid. (Just an example, I
don't know that it has been updated lately.)
