You may want to research the previous discussions relative to this
topic and PDF files. There seems to be something fishy about the
handling of partial requests, but no-one seems to have put their
finger on the real problem.

Meantime a workaround is to set range_offset_limit to '-1 KB' - see
the comments in the template configuration file that's distributed.

Anyhow, take a look at the range_offset_limit settings on the squid
that you're using, as well as the comments nearby in the template.
