Hi,

I guess you are using Squid in reverse proxy mode. But since Squid will only
bind to one port in this case (via "httpd_accel_port"). I am not sure
whether the latest version of Squid(i.e. 2.5 or 2.6) can bind to both ports
"80" and "443" in reverse proxy mode, but I have solved the similar problem
using Apache's reverse proxy module and the SSL is offloaded to Apache and
the backend server is free from costly SSL computations.

Hope this helps to give you a guideline.
