[squid-users] Squid + Solaris 9 + IPF and NAT lookup failed: ioctl(SIOCGNA

Hi,

I have the following setup:

OS: Solaris 9 (5.9) SUNW,Ultra-60 (platform)
Squid: 2.4.STABLE6
IPF: 3.4.28

There is an Alteon in the middle which redirects all the http(80) and
http-proxy(8080) traffic to this box.

Now, the problem is I am getting a lot of error messages like the following
in the cache.log:

2002/07/17 16:48:34| parseHttpRequest: NAT lookup failed: ioctl(SIOCGNATL)
2002/07/17 16:48:34| clientReadRequest: FD 1597 Invalid Request

Anyone has any clue what can cause this problem?

I have found only one posting regarding this which leads me only to the
client_side.c file in the src, from what I can figure out that there might
be a problem with the IPF pseudo device "natfd" cause the 'errno' is almost
never having the value ESRCH. I might be wrong.

Squid gurus, please help.

Regards,

Zia
