Thanks you for you response Henry,

If i have in the squid.conf the line :
refresh_pattern ^ftp: 1440 10% 10080

Squid will send back the file which is in the cache during a day even if that
was modified on the server during the day.

While with a server FTP who understands the MDTM command,
we do not need to use Refresh_Pattern FTP because he sends back the file if
the date of modification changed.
It's a problem, you don't think ?
