There is no need to patchin since Squid-2.4. See the
extensions_methods directive in squid.conf.

Also, if you use Squid-2.5 then all the needed methods should be
supported from start.

Note: The quoted post is way old... from November 2000. Squid has
moved forward a bit since then.
