Thanks to all those who replied to my question. I got Squid installed and
configured, but I can only access it from the same host. I guess there
must some sort of firewall rejecting HTTP packets from remote hosts :(
(Unfortunately, however, I do not know how to determine whether this is
the case. I suppose nmap might be of some help here.)
