Hi list!

I'm thinking of proxying for around 3000 users( simultaneously connected).
Does squid support such a large number ?
How large should be the cache dir ? Is there any metric to determine the
cache size in relation to the number of users.
I'm also thinking of having multiple cache dirs. ( For memory requirements I
found some FAQ which in turn is related to the cache_dir size !!)

I'm thinking of a configuration like

P4 machine with,
        40GB harddisk
        1GB ram
        and LINUX as the OS.

Any thoughts, suggestions would be dearly welcome.

urs,
denzel.
