[squid-users] Speaking of authentication

I have two questions. The first is regarding issues with authentication.
We're requiring all clients to authenticate to the proxy. The problem is
that if the user is attempting to access a website that also requires
authentication, it seems like it's trying to use the login and password
that squid used. Internet Explorer, various versions. Anyone heard of
this?

The second question is whether or not I can use my own authentication page
as opposed to using the login prompt pop-up?
