This is because it didn't work in Squid-2.4 either.. this functionality
has never been part of Squid and has always been provided by third-party
patches.

You need to apply the same extended log format patch to Squid-2.5 which
you applied to Squid-2.4. It should apply quite cleanly (have not
tested).
