I have used both winbind and LDAP to connect Squid to Win 2K AD
directories. LDAP always works but requires a few more parameters to get
it right, and winbind works if the AD is configured to support NT
servers joining the domain.

Using the Squid winbind helpers with Samba-3.0 is not recommended at the
moment.. at this time it is uncertain exacly where the boundary between
Squid and Samba will be at the time of Samba-3.0 when it comes to NT
domain authentication.
