I followed the FAQ on how to setup ntlm auth with winbind/Samba so this
should be authenticating to both AD domain controllers?

The reason I belive it isn't is that the FAQ says to provide a password
server for samba?

Yes. If using winbind/Samba then this is done automatically by Samba.

If using ntlm_auth then you need to sepcify a list of NT servers to
query. These serers does not need to be DC servers, any NT servers
who is member of the domain is OK.
