Please provide assistance. I have reviewed the entire FAQ, searched the web and have not found an answer...

I am currently utilizing squid in a parent-child configuration. The parent is an application firewall running a HTTP proxy. When misses are forwarded to the parent, the return is very slow. This slowness can be up to ten times slower than browsing without utilizing the parent.

The reason for using the parent is to allow for alternate port HTTP connections performed by the firewall proxy.

Please advise.

Respectfully,

Richard Whitney
