 Well that's a very old squid version, although it is not
 always 'wise' in a certain sense to avoid specific problems
 and the formulation of solutions in terms of 'generalization',
 I would avise however to install Squid 2.5. Stable2 first.

 Verify your problem condition(s) agains this version.
