I'm not familiar with the particular Yahoo web chat. However the
"always_direct" directive means that the proxy shall not ask parent
proxy servers but rather contact the destination web server directly. It
is technically impossible to tell your client workstations to not use
the proxy server from a Squid configuration line.

Solution 1: Find out what the web chat applet is trying to do
            (e.g. tcpdump) and find a solution. If the web chat
                                applet is not proxy capable then screw it. :P
Solution 2: Tell the clients to *not* use the proxy for a particular
            host name (unless the host name is a web server, too).
Solution 3: Be glad you found a ways to block that pesky chats. ;)
