 Basically, your problem is somewhat beyond normal expierincing
with squid and networking between hosts (client , networking server).
I am reaching the end of my suggestion-thread :-).

I can have a final look at your complete squid.conf if you send it
to me, maybe I find something in there.

But basically your issue is weird and not reported much, since
if the squid port is right and the client is basically configured
right then you should have 'connectivity' to squid.

So this can not be a native and simple squid issue, the problem
must lay somewhere else.
