I just set up Squid 2.5 stable 3 on SuSE 8.2 with Samba 2.2.7a and the
"manual" authentication
as described in http://www.squid-cache.org/Doc/FAQ/FAQ-23.html works fine!

It seems that the squid authentication works too, in the "access.log" every
connection is
Logged in this type :

IP Adress - myDomain\myusername date URL etc...

But I don't get any Login screen, i thougt that by accessing the first time
squid there will be an
Login prompt, and then it is variable to configure when the login screens
has to appear again? (in minutes)

But i want only to allow a specific NT Domain group

OR

only specific NT4 Domain Users.

I compiled Squid with the following parameters:
            --enable-auth="ntlm,basic"
        --enable-basic-auth-helpers="winbind"
        --enable-ntlm-auth-helpers="winbind"

Samba is the rpm package from SuSE 8.2.

So how can I realize this? Every help is appreciated.

Best Regards
Thomas
