RAID isn't just for precious data - it's to keep a disk failure
from taking down your system. Without RAID, if your cache disk
crashed, so would Squid.

Also, may systems come with all the disks setup in a RAID array.

That said, Squid causes major performance problems on RAID5,
which the most common form of RAID.

I'm not sure about RAID1 - I think there was a discussion about
using 2 mirrored RAID1 sets instead of RAID5, but I'm not sure.
