Hi

        Seems that you are trying to use Squid as a transparent proxy,
am I right? If so, did you configure squid's httpd-accelerator mode?
        If not, take a look at
http://www.squid-cache.org/Doc/FAQ/FAQ-20.html#what-is-httpd-accelerator
