The bigger the cache the better hit ratio, but cache sizes above 7 days of
traffic give very little extra hit ratio if at all measureable.

However, you must make sure to stay within the memory constraints of your
server or performance will suffer badly to the point that the proxy is not
even useable. See the Squid FAQ on memory usage for details.
