Got another one. Now that I fixed the browser problem prompting me to
login, Outlook is doing it on HTML emails that have linked images. Is there
a way around this?

You can't test the NTLM authentication scheme from the command line. When
using NTLM the helper expects to be talking to a NTLMSSP client such as
MSIE, not a human..

What you can test is winbind with the wbinfo tool like shown in the Squid
FAQ. You can also verify that ntlm_auth can perform manual authentication
(see the ntlm_auth documentation). If the wbinfo tests does not work
properly then almost certainly ntlm_auth won't work either.
