I can make some testing at home using a Debian box.

But here in Office, a very strange thing happened:

1. tried on a Debian box with Mozilla without proxy: it worked fine.
2. tried on my W2K notebook with Mozilla without proxy: it worked fine.
3. enabled proxy on my W2k notebook: it doesn't work at all
4. tried again without proxy on my W2k notebook: it doesn't work (?????)
5. tried again on Debian box without proxy: it doesn't work (?????)

What means this ?

The proxy runs a STABLE 4 snapshot on Windows.

Guido
