[squid-users] Disk I/O overloading

Dear all

i am getting following error squid.conf

My machine has following software installed

linux kernel 2.6.3 ( Redhat 9 )
squid-2.5-Stable-5 compiled with --with-pthreads
--enable-async-io

other things i see async-io are never enabled
ps -axm commands shows only 2 processes.
but cachemgr shows async-io counters
