  Any additional info in cache.log ?
 
  TCP_MISS/000 seems to indicate connectivity problems.
  I can connect to both sites here through SQUID, no prob;
  although csboss seems to use a certicate that has expired.

  What gives :

  % telnet csboss.ericsson.net 443

  on your squid box ?
  Do you get "connected" ?
