I have just set up a very basic installation using the
OpenBSD package squid-2.5.STABLE3p4.

I have installed the squeezer2 log analyzer and it
tells me I am saving only 1% bandwidth.

My host is a 450 MHz with 192 MB RAM. I am using 4
fibre channel drive array.

Here is my simple config:

-----------------------------------------
debug_options ALL,1

acl all src 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0
acl mynet src 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0

http_access allow mynet
http_access deny all

cache_effective_user _squid _squid

cache_dir ufs /var/squid/cache 100 16 256
cache_access_log /var/squid/logs/access.log
cache_log /var/squid/logs/cache.log
cache_store_log /var/squid/logs/store.log

cache_mem 32 MB

cache_mgr root@localhost

pid_filename /var/run/squid.pid
-----------------------------------------
