Hi,

I am the programmer of soulcatcher. When squid gets the URL https://sourceforge.net/blahblah and sourceforge directs the user to sourceforge.net:433 squid misses. soulcatcher returns the line

sourceforge.net:433 192.168.0.2/l l l

a valid line.

squid logs say

1089162468.014 3 192.168.0.2 TCP_MISS/404 0 CONNECT sourceforge.net:443 - DIRECT/- -

and returns the following URL to the browser

------------------------------------------------
While trying to retrieve the URL: http:443

The following error was encountered:

Unable to determine IP address from host name for http

The dnsserver returned:

Name Error: The domain name does not exist.

This means that:

The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL.
Check if the address is correct.

Your cache administrator is webmaster.
-------------------------------------------------

Does squid have a problem with url put this way?
