Ok. so the search of the users DN works just fine, but then it can not
bind to this DN.

Here is a few different cases which could explain this

 a) Wrong password
 b) LDAP server returns incorrecly formatted DN. Should be UTF-8
 c) LDAP server does not correctly handle UTF-8 DNs
 d) LDAP library does not correctly handle UTF-8 DNs

Is the DN printed by the helper correct in debug mode, or has the chineese
UTF-8 characters been substituted by something else?
