All,

This is may be out topic of Squid.

I found a pretty strange when extracting Squid 2.5S6. It happen either
.tar.gz or .tar.bz2. Below the messages;

tar: squid-2.5.STABLE6/include/samba/nsswitch: time stamp 2004-07-09
07:44:48 is 642480 s in the future
tar: squid-2.5.STABLE6/include/samba: time stamp 2004-07-09 07:44:48 is
642480 s in the future
tar: squid-2.5.STABLE6/include/version.h: time stamp 2004-07-09 07:44:39 is
642471 s in the future
tar: squid-2.5.STABLE6/include: time stamp 2004-07-09 07:44:48 is 642480 s
in the future
tar: squid-2.5.STABLE6/cfgaux: time stamp 2004-07-09 07:44:46 is 642478 s in
the future

I could not configure the Squid with error;

checking whether build environment is sane... configure: error: newly
created file is older than distributed files!
Check your system clock

Here my system clock display:

[root@Gateway squid-2.5.STABLE6]# date
Thu Jul 1 21:21:52 CIT 2004

[root@Gateway squid-2.5.STABLE6]# clock
Thu 01 Jul 2004 09:24:08 PM CIT -0.481507 seconds

Would you tell me why this error happen? This is not happen in the other
machines.

Your answer is very appreciated and waited for.

Thx & Rgds,

Awie
