Dear list...

I'm starting to get some error messages like these:

Aug 10 10:15:56 proxy-2 squid[17219]: WARNING: 10 swapin MD5 mismatches

No updates recently. The 2.5STABLE4 has been running for half a year
without problems. First I ignored these messages. But users complained
about mixups of cache pages. E.g. they requested "www.google.de" and
have been redirected to "www.kicker.de". Also "www.gnu.org" resulted in
a banner ad.

I have currently switched off the disk cache.

We also get messages about running out of filedescriptors. I didn't yet
want to recompile the package as I like to stay current using the Debian
security updates.

Can limited FDs cause these errors?

Topology: four Squids (equally configured) in a load balanced
environment. They work as siblings. Each have 30 GB disk cache. All show
these errors.

 Christoph
