Hello,

We're running Squid 2.5.STABLE3 on top of Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES
release 3. Clients connecting to web sites which use NTLM authentication
fail to connect properly. After browsing the FAQ and mail archives, I
would like to check for sure; it's still not possible to proxy web sites
who depend on NTLM authentication? Those sites should use basic
authentication or much better of course https instead of http?

As Henrik stated some years back (Thu, 01 Feb 2001 to be exact):
"Proxying of NTLM authenticated requests is not yet possible (due to
Microsift not reading or ignoring Internet RFCs for the protocols they
mess with)."

TIA!
Cheers,
Andre
