I am running Squid 2.5.STABLE7 on 2.6.9-gentoo-r13 #1 SMP.
I have tow questions:

1)
I have noticed in my rrd statistics that the Something seems to clear
your cache twice a day, please see:

http://platinum-sy.net/hsm/

i have set squid to rotate logs once a day, does this affects the
cached objects in memory? if not what is the reason for that?

2)
The memory have negative values in the same period that the cached
objects in the memory get cleared:

cachemgr says:
Memory usage for squid via mallinfo():
Total space in arena: -1785244 KB
Ordinary blocks: -1786351 KB 69 blks
Small blocks: 0 KB 0 blks
Holding blocks: 17176 KB 2 blks
Free Small blocks: 0 KB
Free Ordinary blocks: 1106 KB
Total in use: -1769175 KB 100%
Total free: 1106 KB 0%
Total size: -1768068 KB
Memory accounted for:
Total accounted: -1950167 KB
memPoolAlloc calls: 373009371
memPoolFree calls: 357372341

Can any one explain this for me please?

BTW:
i have 8GB of RAM and

My squid.conf is here
http://platinum-sy.net/hsm/squid.conf

squid -v
configure options:
--prefix=/usr --bindir=/usr/bin --exec-prefix=/usr
--sbindir=/usr/sbin --localstatedir=/var --mandir=/usr/share/man
