[squid-users] Chunking support in your proxy?

I did some browsing around the mail archives looking for chunking
support and it looks to me like that is not yet supported. Is that a
true statement? I am using version 2.5.

Let me give you some background on what I am trying to do here: The
IPP protocol (Internet Printing Protocol - RFC 2910,2911,...) is
designed to be used with HTTP 1.1 protocol for print related requests.
The IPP protocol specification makes use of the chunked request to
submit print jobs of unknown length. On windows based clients the print
data is rendered and given to the transport layer in small chunks and it
is up to the transport to send that information off to the remote
server. As such it is necessary for the remote entity to support the
chunking protocol to facilitate this. Most embedded printer
implementations and web servers now make use of the HTTP 1.1 chunking
mechanism. This is the first software package I have come upon in a
long time that doesn't support this feature. What are your plans here?
I can use apache2 in the interim as a proxy server that will support
chunking and TLS tunneling, but would really like to see this
enhancement appear in your proxy - which by the way is a favorite of the
linux community.
