Let me guess. Internet Explorer? :) This is a known bug. The IE cannot
handle proxy authentication and HTTPS connections at the same time.
It "forgets" that is actually wanted to request HTTPS and strips the
protocol part. Reloading is the only workaround. I forward all helpdesk
requests like this to the tie-carrier who forces me to deploy IE instead of
decent working browsers.
