I'm back at this.

 I'm looking for some tips as so why I cannot access cachemgr items on
either of my squid instances.

I'm using squid on 3128 with NTLM authentication, cachemgr is set to
all. (password is very basic right now)

I'm running a second instance of squid for transparency, no auth
required on 3129.

When I access the cachemgr I see this: (lynx)

   Cache Host: localhost_____________________
   Cache Port: 3129__________________________
   Manager name: ______________________________
   Password: ______________________________

I enter my very basic password and get the the next screen.
     * Memory Utilization
     * Callback Data Registry Contents
     * Event Queue

I see this in my log file:
1146617764.490 0 127.0.0.1 TCP_MISS/200 2680 GET
cache_object://localhost/ - NONE/- text/plain

I select *any* of these: (like event queue)

   While trying to retrieve the URL: cache_object://localhost/events

   The following error was encountered:
     * Cache Manager Access Denied.

   Sorry, you are not currently allowed to request:
    cache_object://localhost/events

Now I see this in my logs:
1146617816.268 0 127.0.0.1 TCP_MISS/401 1726 GET
cache_object://localhost/mem - NONE/- text/html

This is happening on both of my instances.. I don't know what else to
do. Can anyone help?
Thanks!
