[squid-users] Keeping SQUID up to date: diff between auto-generated and STABLE + patchs

Hi,

Please, I am trying to make a decision about how to keep my
squid up to date:

     At http://www.squid-cache.org/Versions/v2/2.6/, we have

Current STABLE release, suitable for production use
     squid-2.6.STABLE3 Aug 18 2006

     Daily auto-generated release.
     squid-2.6.STABLE3-20060822 Aug 22 2006

     I want to know:

If I use the first ( production ready ) and apply all patchs in
"Change details" section, will I have the same as "Daily
auto-generated"?

Is this a good practice to a production server ( apply all
patchs )? For example, problems with delay pools are important
to me.

     Thank you for your attention.

Best regards.
