 - Seems like come code in a squidguard related component can't allocate
memory :

  1) start squid from a shell, using (e.g.)

         csh # ulimit -a
          -> start squid

should lift any process limits on mem. growth

  2) Of course your system must have sufficient virt. mem to run all
the needed processes squid+squidguard.
In that context , I advise to make an assesment of the virt mem usage
when SQUID is running without squidguard, and check how much spare
you have left.
