[squid-users] NTLM Auth status

Hi all
 
Can anybody tell me what the flags mean when we run ./squidclient -p
XXXXX mgr:ntlmauthenticator
 
I am seeing a massive increase in the number of R flags just before my
squid session crashes and burns.
The bottom of the report gives this info :
Flags key:
   A = ALIVE
   B = BUSY
   C = CLOSING
   R = RESERVED or DEFERRED
   S = SHUTDOWN
   P = PLACEHOLDER
 
But what exactly do they mean, in particular, the R flag.
