[squid-users] How would Squid server sense authentication?

Hello All,

What makes squid server to remember that the user is already
authenticated in browser window?
I mean to say... Once the user is authenticated in browser window, Squid
does not ask for authentication again being in the same window. But when
I open a new browser window, it will again ask for the password.

Does anyone know how is this achieved internally ?
Is there any forcible way to pass this information to squid that the
authentication is already done.
