I didn't use transparent proxying so I'm not sure how this will work. I
blocked all direct connections to port 80 through my firewall. This keeps
my users from bypassing it without some work.

I set dansguardian up as a standalong service on its own port and told it to
send all connections to squid. Something like this:

user -> proxy.pac -> dansguardian -> squid

Its means having an additional service, but it works quite well. It also
leaves squid open for peering with other caches.

Also, this method lets you test dansguardian or squid seperately.
