Hi,
typical values from my live squid:

Memory Size(KB): 343296
Cache size (KB) 59904004

Mean Object Size (KB): 19.19
No. of Objects Stored: 3121861

I guess if your mean object size is smaller, you will
get a greater number of objects and hence will require
a bigger memory.
