    That's the expected behavior for ntlm authentication. NTLM
authentication will always give you 2 (two) denied/407 entries and then
the allowed entry. That's the way NTLM authentication works, there's
nothing wrong with that.

    You shouldnt be having problems with applications, icq as you said,
because of the authentication method. Are you sure that the
authentication thing is the cause of the problem ?? have you tried
disabling authentication and notice if icq works fine ?
