Well, off the top of my head...

Are Squid and Sharepoint on the same machine?
If not, what OS is the Squid box?
What does your squid.conf look like (without comments and blank lines is
best)? At least share the http_port and cache_peer sections.
Are you really trying to just use a hostname? If so, why are you
obfuscating it?
Does your Sharepoint install work if you use the FQDN to access it
directly (without Squid)?

What you have done so far is akin to saying "My car isn't running right"
to a mechanic and hoping for a meaningful diagnosis. :o)
