RE: [squid-users] Auth popup not shown on website

I ran into same issue with Sharepoint authentication in Squid-2.7-Stable7. I tried configuring "pipeline_prefetch off" in squid.conf and it worked. Please try that.

To debug you should enable debug logs for squid at all levels using debug_options ALL,9. Then take packet capture at client with squid and without squid. See if some http headers are being removed by Squid. Then debug logs should tell you where in the code squid removes those http headers.

This is weird. None of my squids/browsers want to show me the popup.

My test also worked, using Squid 3.1.10. My best guess is
"Connection-Pinning", a feature that does not exist in 2.5 or 3.0
branches. Please attempt to upgrade to either 2.7 or 3.1 branches, and
see if that works.

mmm... did you say the popup does not appear then using squid?

I am using squid2.6stable21 and the pop appeared

Hi list,

I have a problem with a specific website site not showing a
login/password
request when surfing through squid.
When surfing out of squid, auth popup opens well.
I tested out through a lot of different machines running different
versions
of squid, same issue.
I'm not an expert and logs do not tell me what to do...

Has anyone ever seen this?
Is it possible to post the url here if someone wants to give it a try?
