I am not sure if the software use HTTP protocol. But there is a website has the same video resource and the end user can watch video via IE or other web browser after intalling plug-ins. Does that mean it use HTTP protocol? Or can we try to cache the video of the website?

Squid only supports HTTP streaming and ICY streaming at present without
code alterations.
